VOLUNTEERS NEEDED FOR 2018-2019 SCHOOL YEAR
We have several positions that we need to fill for the next school year. Please take a moment to look at the open positions at the link below. Please note that the PTA is ran solely on Volunteers, and if we are unable to fill all of the necessary positions, we will be forced to look at removing that program for next year.
We know everyone has different situations and different availability, but please take a moment to look at the open positions or reach out directly to see if there is a way you are able to volunteer within your specific time constraints.
THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR CONTINUED SUPPORT AT RHEEM.
LAMORINDA PIZZA NIGHT
WEDNESDAY, MAY 23RD - ALL DAY
Lamorinda Pizza is hosting a Rheem Pizza Night. A portion off ALL proceeds throughout the day will go back to Rheem. What better way to support a local vendor and our school at the same time!?
DEADLINE FOR YEARBOOK PURCHASES IS MAY 18TH!
School year memories that last you child a lifetime!!
Purchases are being handled directly through the PTA Website this year, you can purchase your yearbook by clickingHERE.
**Yearbooks will no longer be available to order after May 18th. If there are additional yearbooks available, then at that time, we will make those available for purchase**.
We will distribute yearbooks at the end of the year!
IT'S ALMOST TIME FOR SUMMER READING!!
Camp Read S'More is Rheem's annual summer reading program. Simply read, read, read all Summer long, and have your child log what they read on the Camp Read S'More forms. The forms will be on the Rheem Website and in each child’s folders the last week of school. Have your child return their completed form in the Fall to their classroom teacher, by September 1st, to receive an acknowledgment at the Spirit Assembly and a special prize.
Show your Rheem Pride by visiting our online Spirit Wear Store HERE.
HELP OUR TEACHERS AND STAFF BY VOLUNTEERING TO DO CLERICAL HELP!
In an effort of help support our Rheem Teachers and Staff, Rheem PTA has brought back the Clerical Support Team. Teachers and Staff feel this is such a huge help to them and the Teacher's Aids and allows them some extra time to focus on other areas in the classroom.
Please consider signing up to cover one week or multiple weeks on our SignUp Genius.
You do NOT have to work everyday! You can pick one day out of the week to check the clerical box or you can check it frequently throughout the week. Do what works best for YOU!
You can contact Becky Maher at firstname.lastname@example.org, if you have questions.
HOT LUNCH SERVICE NEEDS VOLUNTEERS!!
What better way to see your children at school, than to help out during the Hot Lunch Service!? No experience is necessary and you will have someone working with you!
Please consider volunteering, as volunteering is how we are able to provide the Hot Lunch Program for our Rheem Student.

ATTENTION RHEEM FAMILIES!
We need your help to ensure that all of our students, staff and families can arrive and depart safely each day. Please slow down, obey all posted signs and follow traffic laws. We have over 450 students & staff members arriving and departing each day. We need to ensure safety for ALL! We need you to do your part to make this happen.
Safety first! Please take extra care and time when in school zones!
Thank you for helping keep our Rheem Community, which includes Rheem neighbors, safe!
THANK YOU TO EVERYONE FOR MAKING THIS YEAR'S BOOKFAIR ANOTHER SUCCESS!!
After long hours and a lot of help, our Rheem Scholastic Book Fair has come to a close! Thank you to everyone who volunteered and helped make our beloved Book Fair possible!!!
At Rheem, the Book Fair is not a PTA event and it is coordinated and ran solely by our Librarian, Mrs. Gillbanks. We are lucky to have such a thoughtful and caring Librarian at Rheem! The Rheem Book Fair raised over $11,000.00 this year, which is up from last year... 25% of the proceeds go directly to our Rheem Library and along with PTA funds it helps Mrs. Gillbanks continue to purchase and provide new books for our students.
DIRECTORIES HAVE BEEN SENT HOME!!
Forgot to Purchase one?
We still have a small amount of 2017-2018 MSD Directories available for purchase. Click HERE if you would still like to purchase your directory.
If you have already ordered and did not receive one, please contact us at RheemPTA@gmail.com
**POSTING PHOTOGRAPHS ONLINE**
As we all love to capture our student's special moments at school or on a fieldtrip, we often then share these moments with each other on social media. Please remember that not all families feel the same way.
As some families have specifically requested that photographs of their children not be included in the yearbook or used on social media. Please make sure that you have the consent of other parents before posting photos of their children online. We want to ensure we are respecting everyone's wishes and privacy, before posting on social media.
