As a courtesy Rheem PTA is happy to announce activities and events that directly effect our school! However, these are not sponsored by The Rheem PTA. These announcements are solely to relay other outside opportunities and information that are beneficial to our families and students.
Your donations to the Moraga Education Foundation create possibilities at Rheem!
A Donation to MEF is a Donation to Rheem
100% of Rheem students benefit from the Moraga Education Foundation grants to the Moraga School District, so we ask that 100% of families contribute to MEF’s Annual Giving Campaign.
What is the Moraga Education Foundation?
The Moraga Education Foundation (MEF) is the primary fundraising organization for all Moraga public school students TK-12th grade, including Rheem. MEF’s mission is to raise funds to bridge the gap between state education funding and the real cost of educating our children.
Why Should I Donate?
Public education is free, but excellent public education is not.
Many people think that because of our high property values, we have well-funded schools. But that isn’t the case. California ranks 32nd in per-pupil funding, and Moraga is one of the lowest-funded districts in the state. State funding only covers the basics - your contributions make our schools excellent.
Where Does the Money Go?
Thanks to community support, MEF granted $2,600,000 to the Moraga schools this year. These grants make a significant impact on the quality of education your child receives. At Rheem, your contributions fund:
- Science Teachers
- Science Supplies
- Art Teachers
- Music Teachers
- Reading Tutors
- Librarians
- Counselors
These people and programs would not exist at Rheem without community support. Learn more about the impact of your MEF contributions at Rheem.
